Woman grazed by gunshot

BELIZE CITY, Mon. Jan. 21, 2019– A woman was injured by a gunshot on Saturday, January 19, at around 2:40 in the afternoon.

According to police reports, June Willoughby, 49, of Belize City, was standing in front of a Chinese-owned store on Ebony Street when she heard several gunshots. Shortly after, she realized that she had been grazed on the right foot.

She was admitted to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital in a stable condition. According to police, she has not filed a police report; however, police have several persons in custody.
