2 girls, 14, from Orange Walk went missing

General2 girls, 14, from Orange Walk went missing

Anesie is described as brown skinned and five feet in height. She has a round face, a sharp nose with a black mark, and is heavily built, weighing about 120 pounds.

She was last seen wearing an orange blouse, a pair of cream pants and a pair of white slippers.

Amandala spoke to Jessica?s mother, Iscella Torres, 34, of a Mopan Street Address, Orange Walk Town, who told us that she last saw Jessica around 10:45 p.m. on Saturday, June 18, on the Belize/Corozal Road in Orange Walk Town.

According to Iscella, on Saturday, she and her four children, including Jessica, were walking from a party that was hosted at the house of the children?s aunt, Patty Ayuso. The party was hosted for them, since their school had closed on Friday, the day before the party.

Iscella told us that Jessica got mad with her as they were walking home because she was not allowed to attend a graduation party that was being held that same night.

Iscella said that she told Jessica, ?No, it?s already late.?

?She started to walk ahead of us,? recalled Iscella, ?later, she went out of sight.?

Iscella said they did not see Jessica as they turned on Cemetery Street, near the P and P Store. At the time she was last seen, she was four streets away from her family.

Amandala spoke with one of Jessica?s aunts, Susana Vega, 40, told us that people who live in the Louisiana area of Orange Walk Town last saw Jessica around 11:00 p.m. on Saturday.

The residents of that area have informed the family that they had seen Jessica screaming and running in an area, which they described as ?very dark and a little isolated at nights.? They had seen Jessica fleeing from an unknown person, who was chasing and threatening her. She said that the man shouted at Jessica that ?If she no come back he wah f? her up!?

According to Susana, a male friend of Jessica had called her home and told them that Jessica was safe, but afraid to go home.

The family believes that the person who had called the house had her held hostage.

Jessica, who is a first form student of Muffles College, had on the same clothing when she was found as she had on when she went missing, which was a dark green blouse, a short white skirt and a pair of transparent high heel shoes.

According to Susana, Jessica was found around 5:30 p.m. yesterday, Wednesday, at a house where they believe her boyfriend lives.

Susana told us that a young man had passed the house and saw the girl there. She said that the boy told the person with whom Jessica was staying that he should let the girl go home, because he was bringing the police to the house.

Susana said that members of the community saw Jessica jumped the back fence of the premises she was staying, and saw the young man follow her.

According to Susana, the boy who shouted at the young man to let Jessica go met her and persuaded her to go home.

Jessica was taken to the hospital, where the family noticed a three-inch cut wound to the back of her head. Jessica told her family that she got the wound from a fall that occurred while she was away from home.

Jessica?s family said that they are afraid of the young man, with whom Jessica was staying, because he went to the boy?s house, the same boy who shouted at him, and lashed him with a machete and cut his right thumb.

Susana said that they are concerned with the way the police were investigating, because when they went to the youth?s house where Jessica had been staying, and she thought they were going to detain the youth, the police just shouted from the street and did not enter the yard. When the youth did not come out, they walked away.

According to police, last night around 9:20, they received a report from John Torres, 19, of a Zericote Street, Orange Walk Town, who told them that he was watching television when he heard a knocking on the front door.

Torres told police that he saw Ricardo Alamilla, also known as ?Punti,? standing in his mother?s yard.

Torres said that Alamilla told him that ?You strong my gial from me, now I will kill you.?

Torres told police that Alamilla had one of his hands under his shirt, and he suddenly pulled out a machete and lashed him on the left shoulder.

Torres said that as he turned to run, Alamilla lashed him on the right hand. As a result, Torres? right thumb was cut so severely that it was nearly amputated.

Torres also suffered bruises to both his arms.

Police last night subsequently arrested Alamilla, who appeared in the Orange Walk Magistrate?s Court today before Magistrate Emerita Ascoli. He was charged with trespassing on private premises, using threatening words, aggravated assault and wounding.

Torres reported to police today, however, that he did not want to pursue the matter, and the charges were withdrawn.

Police say they continue to investigate the case.
