BELIZE CITY, Mon. July 13, 2015–The Belize District Basketball Association (BDBA) Firms Basketball Tournament 2015 continued over the weekend with 2 games on Friday and 3 on Saturday at Birds Isle.

In the opener on Friday night, Central Health won, 54-50, over Infotel, behind Steven Wade 19 pts 4 rebs 3 assts, Neil Nicholson 11 pts 3 rebs, and Tevin Vernon 10 pts 4 rebs; while for Infotel, Stafford Young had 11 pts 6 rebs, and Russel Humes 15 pts 6 rebs. And in the nightcap, it was Atlantic Bank with the 55-44 victory over Generals. Leading Atlantic Bank were Justin Wade 16 pts, Herman Ramos 11 pts 9 rebs, Jaheed Smith 10 pts 5 rebs 3 assts, Shawn Stephens 10 pts, and Jermaine Tillett 8 pts 11 rebs. For the losing Generals, Cassian Flowers had 14 pts 8 rebs, Ron Nicholson 14 pts 3 rebs, and Darnell Lopez 7 pts 7 rebs.

Saturday night’s opener saw BWS Pressure with the 76-55 win over Ready Call. BWS top scorers were Luis Barcelona 18 pts 11 rebs, Jamir Enriquez 17 pts 4 rebs, and Ashley Hemsley 16 pts 4 rebs 3 assts 5 stls; while for Ready Call, Rahiem Franklin led all scorers with 21 pts 4 rebs, and David Sutherland had 7 pts 5 rebs. In game 2, Bulldogs prevailed 66-61 over Digicell 4G. Bulldogs were led by Rupert Brown 19 pts 4 assts, Roscoe Rhys 14 pts 4 rebs, Marcel Orosco 13 pts 4 rebs 4 stls, and Brian White 8 pts 9 rebs 5 assts; while for Digicell, Raheem Staine had 33 pts 6 rebs 5 stls, and Lennox Cayetano 8 pts 14 rebs. And in the nightcap, it was Central Bank over Belikin by a 60-47 score. Central Bank was led by Jacob Leslie 16 pts 6 rebs 3 assts 5 stls, Farron Louriano 14 pts 11 rebs, Benedict Terry 8 pts 13 rebs, and Cojac Smith 8 pts 4 rebs; while for Belikin, Kadeem Olivera had 19 pts 6 rebs 3 assts, Darren Neal 8 pts 5 rebs 4 stls, Michael Staine 6 pts 8 rebs, and Alejandro Baptist 6 pts 5 rebs 3 assts.
