ROARING CREEK, Thurs. Sept. 3, 2015–The Samuels, Humes and Neal families yesterday buried Marcy Marie Humes, 27, who was the victim of a deadly shooting on Friday night, August 28, at around 9:30 p.m., which also claimed the life of Camalote businessman Russell Hyde, Sr., 45.

       Hyde, his girlfriend, Humes, and an unidentified man were walking to Hyde’s house in Camalote when they were attacked by three armed men, who fatally shot Hyde and Humes.

       As at press time tonight, Thursday, there has been no break in the case.

       In our issue of Wednesday, September 2, 2015, we had inadvertently published a photo which we indicated to be that of the deceased, Marcy Humes, but which was actually the image of another young woman.

    We sincerely apologize to Miss Ishelle Tablada for erroneously using her picture for that of Miss Humes. We regret any distress the error may have caused her.
