Clinton Uh on “earthquakes”

GeneralClinton Uh on “earthquakes”
I apologize for taking so long to say: “Welcome back home, Ya Ya Marin Coleman. Life is short and there is a lot of work to do. Peace and love.” After saying the above, let us go into my thing.

A friend of mine lent me a book which is the Report of the Sugar Industry Commission of Enquiry (1969) British Honduras. While reading this book I came across information that during the time Tate & Lyle had it under their ownership from 1961 until 1969 they lost 6 million dollars. Do you believe that? Yes, I thought so. The majority of my people are so innocent. My ancestors the Maya had predicted the birth of a new era by 2012. The tsunami, earthquakes, floods, hurricanes, disappearance of islands, continents, the showing up of islands where there were none etc., is nothing new in the history of mankind. Just that these and other things are not taught to you by the Christian educational system. You are kept in the dark. Whenever there is going to be an earthquake there is a roar that sounds like a 12-ton dump truck, and just before that sound finishes the earth starts shaking from below upwards; it takes a few seconds and afterward it shakes from left to right or vice versa. All this takes place in some seconds.

I lived at a place where there were earthquakes almost every day. I got so used to it that it became a normal way of living. Buildings are built in a certain way so that they are not damaged. Palapas or huts are built of wood post, sticks and thatch; I have never seen one fall because of an earthquake except if it is rotten. There is a lot to learn about earthquakes and what to do. In Belize, the soil is not firm, and we have a natural underground cave drainage system which carries water to the rivers, sea etc… I believe it’s time to educate our people about earthquakes. When it’s about tsunamis, that’s a different thing; it’s serious business, and no one can run as fast as wild animals, plus they know days before. That’s their natural instinct, one which we rational animals had forgotten because of “progress and technology.”

On Thursday, May 28, 2009, there was a little trembling of the earth at about 2:25 a.m. in the southern part of the country of Belize. The majority of its people started praying to God, asking for forgiveness for their existence. One or two water tanks were broken and some little buildings were damaged because they were not built for such type of shaking. Many thought it was the ending of planet earth. Let me take serious things for a little joke; I know it’s healthy for the soul. What made me laugh for the rest of the day was just to imagine seeing this guy running out of his house and his clothes running behind him, leaving his wife and children. I ask myself, are these the people we want to get up and defend our so-called nation? We don’t blame you, brothers; you were indoctrinated that way by the masters. Sometime during one of KREM WUB’s morning shows I heard someone complaining about aliens coming here and getting a piece of land by any means. These people had never had anything in their lives; they know the value of a piece of land; it’s independence and power.

Many of us roots Belizeans in the past did not put much attention to it and now it has turned out to be impossible to get a piece of land nearby. There is a lot of land all around not producing, owned either by nationals or foreigners. There is nothing we can do. The only one is the Minister who has the constitutional powers to do something if he so wishes. When Fidel Castro was up at the Sierra, he saw the needs of his people who were living in poverty and without having a piece of land to work. Once he got into power he made a land reform. He learned that the best lands were not in use, producing, and were in foreigners’ (US) hands. He proceeded to buy it over for his people. The U.S. government did not agree and they branded him as a communist before he had dreamt to become one. Do you think our Minister would try to do something like that? Today Cuba is still under an economic and commercial blockade by the U.S. for disobeying the Pro-Liberal Free Trade Imperialist. Why? Because he gave out land to the poverty class. What would happen if our P.M. would start “quitar” to give to the poor? Do you think he has what it takes to do so and put his green card in danger?
