DANGRIGA, Thurs. May 25, 2017–The Dangriga Mayor’s Cup 2017 continued over the long weekend with Week 10 games being played on Friday night and Sunday afternoon at the Carl Ramos Stadium.

In Friday night’s opener, Valley Pride Commerciales won over Sampson FC, 4 goals to 2. Highking Roberts netted 2, and Kenton Flores and Glenmore Godoy got 1 apiece for Valley Pride; while both Sampson goals came from Wasani Ramirez. In the second game, DYFA won over Hope Creek Pumas, 5-nil. Davis Marshall, Jr. once again got a hat trick (3 goals), while Jonard Castillo and Evan Mariano got 1 apiece.

In game 1 on Monday, Pomona Warriors and A&N Strikers ended up in a 2-2 tie. Alexander “Pleck” Peters scored both goals for Pomona Warriors; while A&N Strikers’ got 1 goal from Jevon Aranda along with an auto goal from the Warriors. Game 2 saw Department of Youth Services remaining undefeated in Group A, as they won over Hopkins, 3 goals to 1. Carlton “Fubu” Thomas, Leonard Valdez and Freddy Flores got 1 apiece for DYS; while Hopkins’ only goal came from Norman Nunez.

The Mayor’s Cup Tournament continues this Friday and Sunday at the Carl Ramos Stadium.

Friday, May 26
6:30 p.m. – New Site Tire Depot vs DYFA
8:30 p.m. – Hope Creek United vs Valley Pride Commercial

Sunday, May 28
1:30 p.m. – A&N Strikers vs Hope Creek Pumas
3:30 p.m. – Silk Grass Warriors vs YG United
5:30 p.m. – Wagiya vs Conquerors
