BELIZE CITY, Thurs. Jan. 25, 2018– This morning, Krem Radio manager Michael Hyde, organizer of the 2018 Krem New Year’s Day Cycling Classic, was informed via email from the Cycling Federation of Belize (CFB) that results for the Anti-Doping tests at this year’s Krem Classic had all come back negative.

In an email letter today to CFB President Dion Leslie from Dr. Michael Pitts, Director of the National Anti-Doping Organization (NADO), an arm of the Belize Olympic and Commonwealth Games Association, Dr. Pitts stated:

“Please be informed that the results for the three samples sent for the male Krem Classic of 2018 were received.  All the tests were negative.

“NADO extends congratulation to your federation for keeping your discipline clean…

“You can proceed in confirming the respective awards.

“Best regards in a clean sports.”

Top 5 finishers in this year’s Krem Classic were: champion, Giovanni Lovell; 2nd American John Delong; 3rd Robert Liam Stewart; 4th Edgar Nissan Arana; and 5th Mexican Donizeti Vasquez.

Female Krem Classic champion was Alicia Thompson; 2nd Kaya Cattouse; and 3rd Mexican Miguelina Lopez.

Junior winner was Shawn Armstrong, Jr.; 2nd Eric Heusner; and 3rd Shawn Codd.

No Guatemalan riders were allowed to participate in this year’s Krem Classic.
