Non-fatal head-on collision on Gracie Rock Road

GeneralNon-fatal head-on collision on Gracie Rock Road

GRACIE ROCK, Belize District, Thurs. Mar. 8, 2018–  A non-fatal collision between two dump trucks occurred on the Gracie Rock Road, at about 2:30 Tuesday afternoon, but luckily, the drivers only sustained minor injuries.

Information to us, however, is that the two trucks erupted in flames, and the National Fire Service was called to put out the blaze.

Police said that the trucks were traveling in opposite directions. One truck was heading from the George Price Highway to the quarry in Gracie Rock, while the other was coming out of Gracie Rock and was traveling towards the highway, when they collided head-on.

Police have begun an investigation into the accident.
