ORANGE WALK TOWN, Mon. June 11, 2018– On Thursday, June 7, Nostalgia was the host of game #7 of the Orange Walk Billiards Association (OWBA) 21st Annual Belikin 8-Ball Tournament; and Team Chatta’s introduced Black & White Assassins to a 5-0 defeat in their first game of the season. These victories came from David “Nick Knock” McLaughlin, Miguel and Jose Chatta, Javier Witz and Argel Perrera.

On Friday, June 8, the undefeated Hideout went up against one of the favourite teams to take the garland this year, the upstart Team Darvis, playing out of Tijuana. At the end of the game, it was Team Hideout with a 4-1 win over Team Darvis, with victories from Rudolph Jacobs, Kenneth Dawson, Evan Williams and Leroy Jacobs; while Team Darvis’ only victory came from Abimael Godoy.

On Saturday, there were two games played. In game one, Team Chatta’s defeated Team Nostalgia, 4-1, with victories from Miguel Chatta, Eduardo San Roman, Edward Pratt and Argel Perrera; while Nostalgia’s only victory came from Mr. Lobo.

Game two saw Dados defeat Eagles, 4-1, with victories from Aldo Carbillo, Abel Baeza, Eder Bautista and Alex; while Joey Reyes got Eagles’ only victory.

On Sunday, there were four games scheduled. Game one was a default win for Team Chatta’s over Team Darvis. Players credited for victory were Argel Perrera, Jose & Miguel Chatta, Edward Pratt and Eduardo San Roman.

Game two saw league leading Team D Hideout blowing out Black and White, 5-0, with victories from Rudolph Jacobs, Evan Williams, Zadiel Smith, Simon Montes and Kenneth Dawson.

In game three, it was Team Dados defeating Nostalgia, 4-1, with victories came from Stephen, Eder Bautista, Alex and Ricardo Durant; while Nostalgia’s only win was by Edward Pancho Romero.

In the last and final game, the upstart Young Strikers handed Eagles a 3-2 beating with victories from Reni, Cesar Cal and Alejandro Nunez, who won his game by default. Eagles’ two wins came from Nazir and Miguel Riverol.

Remember, billiards fans, 4 teams go on to the playoffs after two rounds; and every player gives his team a point with a victory, so every single game and point counts.

Present top 4 standings are as follows:  D Hideout 22 points; Team Chatta’s 20 pts; Young Strikers 8 pts; and Dados 8 pts.

Upcoming games are as follows: Thursday, June 14 – Black and White host Young Strikers at 6:45 p.m.  Friday, June 15 – at 6:45 p.m. – Nostalgia vs Darvis at Chatta’s Cool Spot. On Saturday, June 16, at 5:45 p.m. at Tijuana – Young Strikers vs Nostalgia; and at 8:00 p.m. – Dados vs Darvis. On Sunday at Chatta’s Cool Spot starting at 10:00 a.m. – Eagles vs Black and White; at 1:00 p.m. – Darvis vs Young Strikers; at 4:00 p.m. – Hideout vs Nostalgia; and at 7:00 p.m. – Dados vs Chatta’s.
