The P.F. Chang’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Arizona Marathon and half-marathon featured more than 36,000 entrants spanning various categories. The marathon started at 7:40 a.m. in 28 degree weather and Ron Hyde was clocked in 2:34:35 as he won the marathon Masters category while placing 16th overall in the Men’s division that featured 3,576 males. He placed second for Arizona State runners and 17th overall among 6,921 male and female marathon finishers. Sports fans will recall that Ron broke the Belizean half-marathon on December 10, 2006 with a time of 1:12:19, beating Polin Belisle’s 1:13:30 set in Belize City on April 14, 1990.
 
Ron lives in Scottsdale, Arizona and is the youngest son of Charles and Elinor Hyde of 1 West Canal Street, Belize City
