15-year-old takes six bullets in the back

General15-year-old takes six bullets in the back
Shortly after 10:00 tonight, a 15-year-old resident of Rivero Street, Jomo Lamb, was shot six times in the back, according to police sources, as he was on Baracat Street, just two blocks away from his home. Tonight, Amandala spoke with a tear-filled aunt, who could not believe the news that she had just received.

The aunt, Ephania said that she spoke with her niece, who said that shortly before the incident, her brother went home running, and asked her for $1. He told her that he was running from someone, but did not tell her who it was. Instead, he insisted on going back out to the Wilton Cumberbatch field, because he loved playing ball.

Her niece told her that even though she pleaded with her brother not to go back out, he went anyway.

Ephania said that a couple days ago, her nephew told her that someone had fired at him the other day, but he would not say more.

We were also told by hospital officials that the mother, on the hearing of the news that her son had died, had to be given medical attention.

Just Monday night, three persons, residents of Rivero Street, Sigmund “Hershel” Trapp, 26, was shot once in the back and grazed in the side, and brothers Akeem Welch, 19, and Ashton Welch, 10, were also victims of the shooting. Akeem was shot in the stomach and Ashton was shot in his right leg. They were standing at the corner of Kraal Road and Rivero Street at the time.

Police, at this time, are seeking one suspect in the shooting.
