Sports2 weeks remain in Pepsi NEBL season; 2 of 4 playoff spots clinched

SAN IGNACIO TOWN, CAYO, Sun. Apr. 2, 2017–The Pepsi National Elite Basketball League (NEBL) regular season is quickly bouncing to an end, with only 2 weeks remaining before playoffs. The outcome of one game creates havoc in the standings, and a team’s optimism of one week, is quickly shattered by a loss the following week. Every game has huge implications, as teams are now fighting for either a playoff spot or home court advantage in the playoffs. San Pedro Tiger Sharks and Belmopan Bandits are the first 2 teams to clinch a playoff spot, while the remaining 5 teams are battling for the last 2 playoff spots. This coming week, there are 3 games slated, after which the league will take a weekend off for Easter Break. The last week of regular season will conclude after Easter Break, followed by the playoffs, which will use a best of three format.
