HUMMINGBIRD HIGHWAY, Cayo District, Fri. May 15, 2020– At about 6:30 this evening, Pedro Carlos Coloner, 26, a Dangriga resident who was traveling from Belmopan to Dangriga, lost control of his vehicle after there was a blowout to its front wheel, and the vehicle overturned several times.

As a result, Coloner was hurled through the windshield and he suffered cuts to his head and face, while two passengers in the vehicle, Daniel Parham and his brother, Marlon Parham, both of Sarawee, Mile 5, Stann Creek Valley Road, were injured.

Daniel was injured in his abdomen and complained of pain in his body, while Marlon suffered back injuries and also complained of bodily pain.

They have been treated and released.

The vehicle is totally wrecked, and the driver, Coloner, remains hospitalized.

Colomer told police that the incident occurred on the curve near the Hershey company on the Hummingbird Highway. He said that after he was thrown out of the vehicle, he landed in the drain, but people in the area took him out and put him to sit down and he was bleeding at the time. He said that he was able to see his two passengers before they were rushed to the Western Regional Hospital, where they were admitted in a serious condition.

Police have begun an investigation. The ages of the two passengers were not released.
