Honduras (2-0-1, 7 points) finished tops in Group A on goal difference (+8 to +6) over second-place Guatemala (2-0-1, 7 points) after they played to a 1-1 draw on Wednesday. Gonzalo Romero gave the chapines the lead in the 21st minute of the first half, but Wilmer Velasquez leveled the match (1-1) for the catrachos with a goal in the 71st minute of the second half.


Costa Rica (2-0-0, 6 points) won the Group B crown on Wednesday after a 1-0 win over the group?s runner-up, Panama (1-1-0, 3 points). Roy Myrie had the only goal of the match in the 83rd minute as the ticos extend their eight-game unbeaten streak in the Copa de Naciones UNCAF.


The semifinals of the Copa de Naciones UNCAF will take place at the Estadio Mateo Flores on Friday (25 February) as Honduras faces Panama at 17:30 and then Guatemala host Costa Rica at 20:00. All four semifinalists have already secured the UNCAF berths to the 2005 CONCACAF Gold Cup? from 6-24 July in the USA.


The UNCAF tournament concludes on Sunday (27 February) with the third-place match at 14:00 in Ciudad de Guatemala and then the final at 16:30.
