$1,050.00 was raised and will be donated to the Dangriga Cancer Society by tournament sponsors Corkers Restaurant and the Belize Amateur Golf Association.
The winning team for the second straight year was the Belizean Americas who beat the Belizean Europeans by 12 1/2 pts to 7 1/2 pts.
Our next monthly tournament is June 16.
After this is the Belize Amateur Golf Open, sponsored by RF&G Insurance, where we will be raising money for the New Children’s Ward at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital in Belize City, July 21-22. Entry is $150.00 per player for the 2-day event, and we suggest registering early as there is a maximum of 36 players. You can pay Andy Hunt, Mickey Thornton or Paul Martin at the Roaring River Golf Course.
