Dangriga homeless man a disgrace to the town

LettersDangriga homeless man a disgrace to the town

Dear Editor,

Attached please find a photo of a homeless man who has recently taken up residence on the main street of Dangriga. I am informed that he was recently deported from the U.S. and has family here, but they don’t want to have anything to do with him.

He lives on coconuts and fruit which he steals, and , as you can see, leaves all his trash by the side of the road.

Numerous requests to the police and other officials have had no effect. All the police say is, “He is not right.”

An email to the Town Council received no reply.

Everybody I have spoken to agrees that this is a disgrace to our town, but nobody seems to know what can be done about it.

Thanks.
Malcolm Dale
