BELIZE CITY—Two persons have been reported missing. One of the missing individuals is from Ladyville, while the other is from Belize City.
Johanna Reyes, 15, who resides at the corner of Seagull and Racoon Streets in Belize City, has been reported missing since Sunday, August 10.
Her mother, Doreen Reyes, told police that on Saturday, August 9, she sent Johanna to her niece’s house in Ladyville.
On the following day, at about 10:00 Sunday night, Doreen called her daughter and she was still in Ladyville with her relatives, at which point she ordered the girl not to return that night, and to come home on Monday, after spending the weekend in Ladyville.
The devastated mother reported that her daughter did not come home on Monday, and since then, she has lost communication with her.
Johanna is about 4 feet tall and is of fair complexion, of medium build and has brown, straight, long hair. If she is seen please contact the nearest police station or 0800-922-TIPS.
Also, Denvo Banner Duhaney, 27, of La Milpa, Ladyville, went missing on Saturday, August 9. He was last seen at a cricket game in Lemonal that Saturday when he told his family that he was going to visit his sister in Guinea Grass, in the Orange Walk District.
Duhaney left Lemonal that Saturday and that was the last time he was seen. His relative in Guinea Grass village reported that he did not arrive there.
Carla Casimiro told police that she has been trying to locate Duhaney for the past five days, but her efforts have been in vain. She has communicated with family members, but no one has seen him. Police have since begun a search for him, but so far, he has not been found.
