BELMOPAN, Tues. Oct. 29, 2019– The Football Federation of Belize’s (FFB) National U-17 Male Club Champions, Stars Academy from Belize City, will be competing in the upcoming Copa Inter-Clubes, U-17 UNCAF FIFA Forward Football tournament in Honduras.

The tournament, being held at the Estadio Emilio Williams in Choluteca, Honduras from the 4th to the 12th November 2019, will have the participation of host Honduras, Panama, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala and Nicaragua. Mr. Stanley Reneau will be representing Belize as the Head of Delegation, and will accompany the coaching staff and players who depart the country on Friday, November 1, 2019.

The FFB takes this opportunity to congratulate the team, and wishes them a safe journey.

(Amandala Sports Ed. Note: According to attached information with the release, the seven Central American (UNCAF) countries are divided into Group A – Honduras, Belize and Panama; and Group B – Costa Rica, Salvador, Guatemala and Nicaragua. The regular tournament, a single round-robin, will run from November 4 to 6, after which the top 2 teams from each group, engage in knockout playoffs on November 8 and 9.

The Stars Academy team roster includes: #1 Isaac Castillo, #5 Henry Palma, #4 Kleron Cacho, #0 Edward Humes, #2 Alexander Martinez, #6 Nigel Matus, #7 Wilfredo Galvez, #11 Jovaunn Ramos, #15 Adrian Usher, #13 Michael Bradley, #17 Andres Miranda, #8 Michael Palacio, #9 Shemar Gillett, #18 Ruben Galvez, #14 Michael Henry, #12 Jaheed Longsworth, #10 Eldon Reneau, and #19 Justin Menzies. Team officials include:  Coach – Jonathan Hooper; Asst. Coach – Tyrone Young; Goalkeeper Coach – Eulalio Coc; Physiotherapist – Ben Aba; and Manager – Stanley Reneau.
