BELIZE CITY, Wed. Sept. 13, 2023

A Belizean model and entrepreneur, who goes by the name Shanice Belize, was recently featured on the packaging of Dark & Lovely, a popular hair care product for women of color.

Shanice, originally from Belize but now living in the USA, has been creating a name for herself in various beauty circles. Notably, she became one of the faces of the hair care product dedicated to African beauty and hair care for women of African descent— Dark & Lovely.

Earlier this year, Shanice shared her excitement on Instagram. She wrote, “I used to go to the beauty supply store with my mom as a kid & see these on the shelves…& now I’m on it. & they chose the off guard shot of me laughing. What a feeling! I’m grateful.”

After this news broke on social media, Belizeans everywhere celebrated her success. Comments flooded in, praising her: “Congratulations my Afro-Belizean sister!”, “No beauty compares to a Belizean beauty”, and “Belizean touch/influence is global!”

Shanice has over the years represented major brands like Neutrogena, Jason Wu Beauty, and Pretty Little Thing. She’s been the face of commercials for Revlon, Ulta Beauty, amongst others, and has even been a part of modeling photoshoots for various restaurants, hotels, and shoe brands.

But Shanice is more than just a model. She’s a savvy businesswoman too.

She has her own YouTube channel and has launched her own hair care brand, Sbelize Organics. It’s a handmade, all-natural hair mask designed to thicken the hair of women of African descent

She also owns Bleu Farm Studio, a photography and videography studio located in Florida.

We celebrate Shanice Belize for her achievements and continue to cheer for her as she reaches new heights in the world of beauty and business.
