PUNTA GORDA, Mon. Sept. 18, 2023

After being wanted by police for some time, Ryan Foster, 32, an unemployed Sittee River (Stann Creek) resident who is suspected of having been involved in a murder that occurred in April of 2021, as well as a double murder in May of 2020, has been captured.

According to reports, police officers from the Toledo District coordinated a search at around 3:00 a.m. on September 7 in San Antonio Village, where they captured Foster, who is believed to be responsible for the deaths of Dwayne Myers, 41, of Punta Gorda Town; Quentin Espinoza, 55; and American national, Roman Burley, 70.

According to reports, in April 2021, Myers was driving in his car towards downtown Punta Gorda shortly after 8:00 p.m. and had stopped at a nearby bus stop when he was allegedly approached from behind by Foster and another individual on a motorcycle, and Foster shot him dead.

The May 2020 victims were killed in a similar fashion. Espinoza and Burley were each found with a single gunshot wound to the head – Espinoza, to the forehead; and Burley, to the side of the head – and their bodies were found behind a house on the Hopkins Road.

Foster was taken to the Punta Gorda Magistrate’s Court, where he was remanded to the Belize Central Prison until his next court hearing on November 28.
