The Belmopan Comprehensive Flames girls have won 3 football matches so far at the XXI CODICADER (Commission of Central American Integration for Sports and Recreation) Under-17 Scholastic Games, bombing Guatemala, 3-1, at the Las Delicias National Stadium in San Salvador on Monday morning, October 7.

Kenya Yuleidi Perez now leads the Flames with 8 goals, as she scored a brace, and Adali Miranda added a 3rd goal for the 3-1 win over Guatemala’s INEB Telesecundaria.

Kenya Perez’s hat trick (45+2’, 80’ and 85’) led the Belmopan girls to their first win, 6-2, over the hosts, Ñentro Åscolar Àlbårtî Guårrà Òr³guårî¾, on Friday afternoon. Jasha Gloria Bernardez scored a brace (18’ and 32’), and Jolene Aranda (84’) scored the 5th goal.

Their victory roll continued on Saturday morning, when Kenya Perez scored a brace (24’ and 49’) to lead them to a 5-1 win over Honduras’ Instituto Modesto Rodas Alvarado at the Salvador Football Federation (FESA) field. Jasha Bernardez also scored a brace (36’ and 44’) and Jolene Arana (68’) delivered a 5th goal.

The Compre girls did not do so well in a 2-0 loss to Complejo Educativo Reino de Suecia of Nicaragua on Sunday; and only Bernardez had scored a consolation goal in their 5-1 debut loss against Costa Rica’s Ñîlåg³î ½àntà Ìàríà då Guàdàluðå (½ÀÌÀGU) last Òhur¾dàó. They will challenge the girls of Panama’s Insituto Rubiano on Tuesday.

For the boys, Miguel Hammid Pren netted the Muffles College Bobcats’ first goal in their first victory, 3-1, over Guatemala’s Colegio Privado Mixto Tecnologico en Informatica at the FESA Federation field on Monday morning. Bryce Lawrence delivered the 2nd goal, and Hadid “Nacho” Torres added a 3rd goal.

The Bobcats had struggled through successive losses: 2-0 to Nicaragua’s Instituto Nacional Dr. Carlos Vargas on Sunday evening, after a 4-0 loss to Honduras’ Instituto Satuye on Saturday morning. These followed an 8-0 loss to the hosts’ Ñentrol Åscolar Ñàtól³ñî Åduñàndî à un ½àlvàdîråñî last Friday, and a 4-1 loss to Ñî¾tà R³ñà’¾ L³ñåî UNŽÑÎ in their debut match last Thursday. They take on Panama’s Insituto Rubiano on Tuesday.
