Berger United – 2025 BTB U-13 Mundialito Champions

BELIZE CITY, Mon. July 7, 2025

Berger United successfully defended their title to repeat as Belize Tourism Board’s (BTB) Under-13 Mundialito champions in the final at the Berger Field in Belize City on Sunday afternoon, July 6.

In Game 1, the consolation match for 3rd place, Ladyville Rising Stars prevailed over Reality Youths, 2-0, with late goals by Elton Anthony (43’) and Frederick Garbutt, Jr. (47’)

In Game 2, the championship final, Zaoylem Jones’ 33rd minute strike secured Berger United’s 3-2 win over Belize United, with other goals by Lionel Soberanis (11’) and Errol Peters (27’). Schae Gordon (6’) had struck first for Belize United, and Kayden Castillo (36’) narrowed the deficit, but they failed to equalize the score.

Chief Executive Officer Nicole Usher of the Ministry of Tourism was on hand to present the championship trophies and individual awards to the champions, sub-champions and 3rd place winners at the closing ceremony after the final.

Individual awards: Most Valuable Player (regular season) & Most Goals – Schae Gordon (Belize United); Best Forward – Zaoylem Jones (Berger United); Best Midfielder – Adolfo Gomez (Yabra FC); Best Defense – Thomas Henry (Berger United); Best Goalkeeper – Rajon Mahler (Berger United); Most Valuable Player (playoffs) – Errol Peters (Berger United); Best Coach – Kenroy Martin (Berger United).
