Police said that they have identified a Hispanic man who they found dead, in an advanced state of decomposition, with puncture wounds about an inch and a quarter in circumference on the back of his legs, upper left back thighs, rib cage, and left upper chest.
He was known only as “Macho Man;” he was naked, and his organs were seen hanging out of his body, evidence of a terrible death. The remains of his underwear had been dragged down to between his knees and ankles.
His clothing, which had holes that matched the puncture wounds in the man’s body, was scattered in the vicinity of the body.
“Macho Man,” about 71, was a caretaker of the farm, along with another man, and was last seen alive by his co-worker around 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
When we arrived on the scene, in the Thurton Ridge area of Western Paradise Village at Mile 8 on the Western Highway and about 2 miles in to a farm, there was not a single neighbor in sight, except about a mile back toward the Western Highway.
The owner of the farm declined an interview with us.
We saw a huge white-and-black bull, who was still displaying territorial behavior. The bull was later tied to a tree during the police’s scene of crime investigation. His horns and body were later examined for human blood, but according to information given to us, there was none seen.
The victim had been attending to the farm alone during the course of the evening until Wednesday morning, when his remains were discovered.
The chairman of the village, Terrence Casasola, told us, “I received a call saying that they found someone dead in Western Paradise Village. We saw the lifeless body of a male on the ground; he was all torn up. I witnessed holes on him; what the holes are, I don’t know.”
Casasola told us that the victim was found just twenty to twenty-five feet away from the house.
Police have since issued a press release saying that the body had to be buried because the advanced state of decomposition rendered the post-mortem, conducted by Dr Mario Estradabran, inconclusive.
