BELIZE CITY, Mon. Feb. 10, 2025

The undefeated Alvian Strikers continued to lead the Belize District Football Association (BDFA) Under-15 female tournament with 22 pts from 7 wins and a draw, as they blasted the Goal Getters, 5-1, at the Berger Field in Belize City in Week 9 of the competition which took place on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, February 8-9.

Alvian Strikers’ Treneice Amaya

On Saturday, Treneice Amaya’s beaver trick (6’, 21’ 28’ & 35’) led the Alvian Strikers to their 7th win, 5-1, over the Goal Getters. Demika Jones (18’) scored their 2nd goal. Only Shuilan Hazel (14’) scored a consolation goal for the Goal Getters.

On Sunday, the Goal Getters remained in 3rd place with 7 pts, after they salvaged a 1-1 draw with Phoenix FC, whose goalkeeper, Audylssa Bowen held them scoreless up to the half. Bowen came out of goal to strike (26’) first for Phoenix after the break; but Elvira Rivas (35’) bent it like Beckham on a corner kick, to find the back of the net for the equalizer: 1-1 final. Phoenix FC are ranked 4th with 4pts.
