Up to press time tonight, Amandala could not get an interview with food vendor Silas Molina, who was shot shortly after 6:00 this morning on Dolphin Street.

Police were informed of a shooting on Dolphin Street, near the Fred Westby Bridge. Upon their arrival, police encountered a food vendor, Silas Molina, 35, of #7 Neal Pen Road, suffering from a gunshot wound to the right side of his chest.

Molina told police that shortly after 6:00 this morning, he was on his way to the market to sell his fruits when a dark-complexion man, armed with a handgun, suddenly approached him and demanded money. Molina further told police that he attempted to disarm the man, but during the struggle the man was able to fire a shot, which caught him in the right side of his chest.
