BELIZE CITY, Wed. Dec. 1, 2021 — Good day, Football Family!

The Belize District Football Association (BDFA) kicked off its 1st Division Male Amateur Tournament 2021-22 with 4 games on Saturday, November 27, at the MCC Grounds here in Belize City.

There are 8 teams participating in this year’s tournament – Kelly Street Football Club, Caesar Ridge Football Club, Ladyville Rising Stars Football Club, Hattieville United Youth Sporting Club, Lake I Football Club, Stars Academy, Village Boys Football Club and Eagles Football Club.

Here are the results of Saturday’s Week 1 games:
Game 1 – Kelly Street FC blew away Eagles FC, 6-2. Goal scorers for Kelly Street were Steven Baizar (17’ PK, 45’ & 90’) and Francisco Briceño (64’ & 89’), along with an own goal by Eagles’ Khambrel Blease (32’ OG); while goals for Eagles were by Calvin Caceres (23’) and Jaheem Thomas (75’).
Game 2 – Caesar Ridge FC beat Village Boys FC, 3-0, with goals from Akeem Sutherland (3’ & 13’) and Kenroy Linares (40’).
Game 3 – Lake I FC drew with Stars Academy, 0-0.
Game 4 – Hattieville United drew with Ladyville Rising Stars FC, 2-2. Both goals for Hattieville were by Kevin Alvarez (51’ & 65’); while goals for Ladyville were by Sergio Lemoth (78’) and Anthony Bailey (90’).

Saturday, December 4, @ MCC:
10:00 a.m. – Village Boys FC vs Stars Academy
12:00 noon – Eagles FC vs Hattieville United Youth SC
2:00 p.m. – Caesar Ridge FC vs Kelly Street FC
4:00 p.m. – Lake I FC vs Ladyville Rising Stars FC
