SportsBelize lost 2 games and won 1 in CONCACAF U-20 Qualifiers in Curacao

BELIZE CITY, Thurs. Feb. 27, 2020– A 20-player strong Belize U-20 male national selection travelled to Curacao last week Sunday, February 16 to participate in CONCACAF U-20 Qualifiers under head coach, Dale Pelayo, assisted by Jonathan Hooper. Our boys reportedly played 3 games, as the team was placed in a group of 4, including the host Curacao along with Guadeloupe and Saint Marten.

The team reportedly returned on Monday, February 24, but we have received no details on the games, except a Whatsapp report that we lost, 6-0, to Guadeloupe in our first game on Tuesday, February 18; we lost in a tough battle, 2-1, to host Curacao on Thursday, February 20; and we won by shutout over Saint Marten, 4-0, on Saturday, February 22.
We await word from the Football Federation of Belize on our U-20 National Team’s status in the Qualifiers following these results.
