SportsBelize National “A” Team arrives safely in Nicaragua

BELMOPAN, Mon. May 31, 2021– The Football Federation of Belize (FFB) takes this opportunity to inform the general public that the National “A” Team has arrived safely in Nicaragua and have checked into their hotel. We applaud the Jaguars for taking this journey and representing Belize in their upcoming match in Managua, Nicaragua on Friday, June 4.

Before leaving Belize, all players and technical staff were tested and produced negative Covid-19 tests. To ensure the safety of our players, the two drivers on the trip also produced negative tests. On Sunday, May 30, the Jaguars left by road through the Belize-Guatemala border in a luxury liner with spacious, comfortable seating and bathroom on a journey that took 25 hours. Their trip included three food stops and delays at borders which totaled 6 hours.

The team will take today to rest and acclimatize and then go straight into two days of training before their official training on Thursday followed by game on Friday.

The team is united, determined and in good spirits. We take this opportunity to invite Belizeans at home and abroad to continue showing their love and support to the Jaguars as they represent Belize in their third match of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Qualifiers.
