The Belize United FC won the Belize District Football Association (BDFA) Under-15 youth football championship, 2-1, over the Reality Youths at the Marion Jones Sports Complex on Tuesday evening, December 17.
The Belize United defenders Jaime Dominguez and Clive Medwood helped goalkeeper Noe Flores shut out the Reality Youths’ attacks for a scoreless ballgame up to the half. Breylin Middleton and Kent Nuñez came off the Reality Youths bench to join the attack, and Ryan Davis (50’) struck first after the break.

Jonathan “Toto” Garay and Ralph Mendoza led the Belize United counterattack, supported by Norman Muñoz at midfield, and Duane Latchman and Schae Gordon came off the bench, as Belize United pressed for the equalizer. Alas for the Reality Youths, their defense blundered into committing a hand ball infraction inside the 18-yard box, and Clive Medwood converted (56’). Duane Latchman (61’) delivered the game winner for Belize United.
Tournament organizer Stanley “Jordan” Reneau presented team trophies and individual medals to the champions and 2nd Place winners in the awards ceremony after the game.
Individual awards: Most Goals – Ryan Davis (Reality Youths); Best goalkeeper – Noe Flores (Belize United FC); Most Valuable Player – Duane Latchman (Belize United FC)
