GeneralBelizean businesses to meet with Mexican companies

BELMOPAN, Tues. Feb. 23, 2021– In a collaborative effort, the Embassy of Mexico, COPARMEX Quintana Roo and the Ministry of Economic Development of Quintana Roo are hosting the first ever Business e-RoundTable between Mexican and Belizean businesses. This initiative is designed to foster bilateral trade, identify potential buyers and suppliers of a variety of products and services, and boost the region’s economy.

This event will allow Belizean companies, entrepreneurs, business associations and interested people to meet and coordinate a one-on-one meeting with their counterparts from Quintana Roo. Each business will be allowed, at most, three (3) representatives and will have the flexibility to meet with multiple businesses, one at a time. Each company will be permitted a total of fifteen (15) minutes per meeting with each of their desired business interests. The meetings will operate as scheduled by the organizers. Participants will only be required to login using the link provided at registration. A follow-up meeting will also take place with the authorities from the leading organizations of investment and trade of Belize and Mexico.

The event is open to any business that wishes to buy, sell, distribute or discuss general business with participating companies from the approved sectors. These participating companies include: Low Code Agency, Mayaccess and Mekates in software and app development; Moblity ADO, Transbordadores del Caribe, Xtrem Adventure Park and El Sombrero in transportation and tourism services; Impoexporta and Industrial Park with Strategic Customs in Facility Chetumal in logistics and customs services; Alpha Digital and Deportes Hadad in supply services; CIO Consultoría, Corporativo Portillo and Cefocer México in business consultancy; UNID and Kala Education in education; and Woox Pinturas, Don Kike Solar and Tecnocarga in construction and renewable energy.

Belize and Mexico share almost forty years of diplomatic relations. The Embassy hopes that this event will boost investment and trade opportunities between Mexico and Belize. A recent press release from the Embassy of Mexico in Belize said, “The Embassy highlights that the participation of COPARMEX and the Ministry of Economic Development of Quintana Roo also represents a great opportunity for the Belizean business community to dialogue directly with the authorities and entrepreneurial organizations for further investment and trade opportunities.”

The Business e-RoundTable event is scheduled to commence on March 5, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. For more information, participants can contact the Economic and Trade Section at [email protected]. Registrations end on February 28, 2021.
