Blazing Strikers – BTB 2025 Mundialito U-10 Champions

BELIZE CITY, Mon. July 7, 2025

Blazing Strikers won the 1st Hon. Anthony Mahler & Belize Tourism Board’s (BTB) Under-10 Mundialito championship in the final at the Berger Field in Belize City on Sunday afternoon, July 6.

In Game 1, the consolation match for 3rd place, Ladyville Rising Stars defeated Belize United in a penalty shootout, 2-0, with goals by Sebastian Jones and Justin Magaña, while no one converted for Belize United.

In Game 2 for the championship, Blazing Strikers clipped Sampson Academy, 1-0, when Jahleel Goff (19’) delivered the winning goal.

Chief Executive Officer Nicole Usher of the Ministry of Tourism was on hand to present the championship trophies and individual awards to the champions, sub-champions and 3rd place winners at the closing ceremony after the final.

Individual awards:  Most Valuable Player (regular season) – Azaire Gaynair (Belize United); Most Goals – Zion Jones (Blazing Strikers); Best Forward – Jerrod Tillett (Ebony Lake); Best Midfielder – Connor Baizar (Sampson Academy); Best Defense – Aiden James (Blazing Strikers); Best Goalkeeper – Brighton Louriano (Sampson Academy); Most Valuable Player (playoffs) – Jahleel Goff (Blazing Strikers); Best Coach – Helen Flowers (Ladyville Rising Stars).
