Police have formally charged Alejandro Hernandez with multiple offenses in connection with a catastrophic road traffic accident on November 29, 2023, which resulted in the death of four construction workers and injuries to three others,
In a police press briefing today, ACP Hilberto Romero explained that Hernandez, 50, a construction worker from Spanish Lookout, is now facing four counts of manslaughter by negligence, causing death by careless conduct, driving a motor vehicle without due care and attention, and negligent grievous harm.
The incident occurred in the vicinity of Georgeville, near Mile 62 on the George Price Highway, as the victims were returning home from work at the Roaring River Golf Course in Camalote.
The Dodge Ram driven by Hernandez collided head-on with an Isuzu Amigo, causing fatal injuries to Matias Gonzalez, Christian Lobos, Ian Harrison Mahler, and Noel Pineda, who was driving the Isuzu Amigo.
Survivors Melvin Ramos, Eric Delgado, and Ostocio Garcia are receiving medical care for their injuries.
