Corozal F.A. hosts international games

COROZAL TOWN, Mon. Feb. 10, 2020– The Corozal Football Association (CFA) management took the opportunity to invest in international friendly games. Through our continuous commitment and partnership, we were able to partner a good relationship with Club Leones Negros De Chetumal. This was possible, thanks to Mr. Ernesto Alpuche Briceño, Director of Club Leones. We were able to put up 5 categories, i.e. U10, U13, U15, U17 and U17F.

On Sunday, February 9, our day started at 9:00 a.m. at the Ricalde Stadium with a warm welcome to Club Leones Director, committee, players and, foremost, it’s very supportive parents. We are grateful to our club managers, players and parents.

Game 1 – U10 Male
Representing Corozal was Calcutta Strikers, Sub-Champs of the CFA Opening Season Youth Tournament 2019-2020, playing against Club Leones Negros De Chetumal U10. The game went well. Both teams played their best; but at the end, Calcutta Strikers won, 3-1.

Game 2 – U17 Female
The Football Federation of Belize (FFB) U17 Female National Selection played against Club Leones Negros De Chetumal girls. FFB U17 girls were victorious, winning 4-0.

Game 3 – U13 Male
Representing Corozal was Majestic – Champs of the CFA Opening Season Youth Tournament 2019-2020, and they played against Club Leones Negros De Chetumal. Club Leones De Chetumal won, 5-2, over Majestics.

Game 4 – U15 Male
Representing Corozal was Corozal Rural – who played against Club Leones Negros De Chetumal. Game 4 was drawn, 1-1. Both teams gave their utmost best.

Game 5 – U17 Male
Representing Corozal was Chunox FC – Sub-Champs of the CFA Opening Season Youth Tournament 2019-2020, who played against Club Leones Negros De Chetumal. Chunox won, 4-0.
