I was quite interested listening to the WUB on Wednesday morning when the Mayor and the Councilors were on the show. When the host, Mose Hyde, was asking them about their salaries, which they refer to as stipends, Mose kept asking them, do they really need that job if they have another, because they cannot serve two masters.
He even gave his explanation about him managing WUB, which is full time. So how can they perform both jobs?
I wish the Mayor well, but he must realize that he has some problems from the previous council that had created a disaster at City Hall. I remember the PM saying on a WUB show that the then City Council was a disaster.
On another note, I think Councilor Elrington needs to know that no Councilor is being elected to serve any constituency; as Mose mentioned, they are given portfolios to serve all ten.
Not because your father is the area representative, you will dedicate your resource to that area because you probably aspire to take over that division from your dad.
Please serve all; that is what you all are elected to do.
