The warrant, which was directed to all police and peace officers in the country to arrest Penner, was issued by the Belmopan Supreme Court after he had failed to appear for a routine adjournment in his criminal matter.

Penner appeared in court the following day, Tuesday, June 2, and his case was adjourned to October 13, 2020.

Penner is before the court to face charges in connection with a traffic accident that occurred on the George Price Highway in 2017, when he knocked down and killed Kennrick Myvett.

Myvett, 41, a resident of Unitedville, Cayo District, was riding his motorcycle, while Penner was driving his SUV. Penner was heading toward San Ignacio, while Myvett was traveling in the opposite direction. The accident occurred on June 23, 2017, at about Mile 62, in front of Running W Meats.
