BELIZE CITY, Thurs. Aug. 22, 2019– The Football Federation of Belize (FFB) youth tournaments continued over the weekend, with playoffs near for the females, and already under way in the male categories.

FFB Female U-15 Inter-District Week 9

Saturday, August 17 results

At the M.A. Stadium, home team Independence shut out Toledo, 2-0, with goals from Gabriela Mendoza (32’) and Kenia Perez (39’).

And at the Ricalde Stadium in Corozal, it was Belmopan, 2-0, over Corozal, with goals from Heidy Lopez (22’) and Janelle Diaz (30’).

Saturday, August 17 playoff results

At People’s Stadium, Orange Walk bombed Cayo, 10-0, with goals from Armando Patt (12’, 53’ & 57’), Zamir Bonilla (13’), Allison Torres (34’ & 30’), Allen Castillo (49’, 51’ & 68’) and Diego Chan (60’).

At the Ricalde Stadium, Corozal drew, 2-2, with Stann Creek. Twice, Stann Creek went in front with goals from David Bermudez (63’) and Leopoldo Vasquez (76’), but Corozal equalized each time with goals from Clifford Sanker (72’) and Eliseo Rosales (83’). In the ensuing penalties, Stann Creek won, 4-1.

At the Isidoro Beaton Stadium, it was Belmopan, 6-1, over visiting Benque. Belmopan goals were by Nathan Pastrana (8’), Christopher Moro (50’), Jose Almendarez (58’, 60’ & 66’) and Genadi Castillo (69’); while Benque’s lone goal was by Kayser Tut (8’).

At the M.A. Stadium in Independence, visiting Belize won, 4-2, over Mid-South. Shaking the net for Belize were Chris Maskall (26’), Brandon Smith (62’ & 68’) and Enoch Rhaburn (70’); while Anwar Cabral (13’) and Gerson Portillo (58’) tallied for Mid-South.

And at the FFB Stadium, San Pedro dropped Toledo, 2-0, with a goal each from Jahleen Noralez (15’) and Edwardo Reyes (43’).

At Ricalde Stadium, Corozal clipped visiting Belmopan, 2-1, with a goal each from Joselyn Sho (29’) and Darina Tzul (53’), while Belmopan’s goal was by Natalie Logan (7’).

At the Marshalleck Stadium, visiting Stann Creek dropped Benque, 4-1, with goals from Anika Ramos (5’), Jaelin Cacho (25’ & 30’) and Danisha Cacho (29’); while Tiffany Perez (55’) got the only goal for Benque.

At the M.A. Stadium in Independence, Mid-South and Toledo All Stars played to a 2-2 draw.  Gabriela Mendoza struck twice (68’ & 73’) for Mid-South, but Toledo equalized with a goal each from Jaylene Lambey (79’) and Joslyn Co (85’).

And at People’s Stadium, Orange Walk won by default (3-0) over San Pedro.

FFB Male U-17 Inter-District Elimination Round 2

At the MCC Grounds, Belize crushed Cayo, 9-1, with goals from Shemar Gillett (13’ & 25’), Michael Palacio (31’), Eshak King (39’), Eldon Reneau (21’ & 42’) and Ian Revolvorio (85’) along with 2 own goals from Cayo’s Gian Flowers (28’ OG) and Rony Garcia (74’ OG); while Cayo’s only good goal was scored by Gian Flowers (76’).

At the Isidoro Beaton Stadium, Belmopan beat Benque, 4-1, with goals from Joshawn Flowers (36’ & 77’), Rafael Franklin (38’) and Wilfredo Galvez (63’); while Benque’s goal was by Jared Requena (56’).

At Carl Ramos Stadium, it was Corozal, 3-1, over Stann Creek. Netting 1 each for Corozal were Eljaier Santoya (27’), Eric Rancheran (47’) and Ibraim Santoya (54’); while Curtis Valerio (51’) scored for Stann Creek.

At the FFB Stadium, it was Toledo, 5-1, over San Pedro. Toledo goals came from Eugene Benguche (43’), Andres Miranda (50’ & 53’), Rhandy Alegria (72’) and Ricky Parham (76’); while San Pedro’s only goal was by Dixon Paguada (14’).

And at the M.A. Stadium, Mid-South drew, 1-1, with Orange Walk. Anderson Chi (8’) gave Orange Walk the early lead, but Marshawn Lozano (65’) got the equalizer for Mid-South.
