There was no organization. Voters were not even placed in line to vote. There was pushing, shoving, cursing while policemen blocked the doors and engaged in bitter arguments with voters. There was total disorder while known PUP campaigners and close affiliates plowed through the crowd and voted. This was not a UDP convention. We encourage our Party Leader to sit down with us and go over the voters? list that was used, because it?s easy to prove to this nation that this convention was manipulated by the PUP.

Whenever a voter had voted, a line is then struck across his or her name to ensure that that person cannot vote again. Check the voters? list used that day and you will find hundreds of close affiliates of the PUP and committees of the PUP who have voted in this convention. The UDP supporters were pushed out of their own convention; hundreds of them walked away, unable to vote.

Therefore, after listening to the concerns of our supporters across the Toledo West Division, and after experiencing the mess from last Sunday, I, Luis Fermin Choc, I, William Romero, and I, Dennis Usher, have met together to discuss this matter. We have agreed that under no circumstances can we support Mr. Juan Coy as the UDP standard bearer for the Toledo West Division. We continue the campaign and stand firm with our supporters in the Toledo West Division.
