Gilani Taylor succumbs to third degree burns

GeneralGilani Taylor succumbs to third degree burns
Belizean/American R&B singer, Gilani Taylor, 27, died on Friday night at the County USC hospital, almost two weeks after she was involved in a horrible car accident that killed her daughter, Jayla Taylor, 9, who was in her car on October 8, at about 8:30 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of the 101 Freeway, near Las Virgenes Road, Los Angeles.

Jayla was consumed by the flames, but Gilani managed to crawl out of the burning car. She was transported to the hospital for third degree burns.

In a recent update, Amandala had spoken with a cousin who had told us that Gilani was fighting for her life, and that all her body was burned except for the bottom of her feet.

Friends of Gilani have since expressed their sincere condolences on Gilani’s husband’s Facebook page.

Her husband posted this: “I’m very humble by saying this from my heart; she was the perfect woman, a masterpiece. Thank you Jesus, thank you Jesus.”

Initially it was reported that Gilani had lost control of the vehicle and hit the center divider before spinning out of control and crashing into a truck.

But later it was revealed that it was the driver of a white SUV that side-swiped her, causing the accident. This was according to an eyewitness.
