BELIZE CITY, Mon. Jan. 20, 2020– The Hon. Edmond “Clear the Land” Castro, Minister of Transport and NEMO, was involved in a non-fatal traffic accident this afternoon at Mile 4 on the George Price Highway.

The minister was driving from Belize City to Belmopan when on his arrival at Mile 4, he was overtaking a vehicle when another vehicle that was coming from the opposite direction collided head-on with his vehicle. The front portions of both vehicles were extensively damaged, but the minister and the other driver did not suffer injuries.

An investigation has begun into the collision.
