Kenrick Johnson Shot to death in same place of previous murder attempt

GeneralKenrick Johnson Shot to death in same place of previous murder attempt

According to a police report dated Monday, September 6, their initial investigation revealed that Johnson was standing near the mouth of the alley when he was approached from behind by three male persons wearing masks, all of whom were armed. One of them opened fire on Johnson.

Police Liaison Officer, G. Michael Reid, told Amandala today that they have no leads into Johnson?s murder, and no motives as yet. They are asking the public?s assistance to solve the case.

Lionel Dennison told Amandala that at the time of his brother?s shooting, he was at home, just about six houses from where his brother was shot. When he got at the scene, his brother was still alive, but he died on the way to the KHMH.

He told us that he understands that his brother was hanging out with a friend at the alley just before he was shot. His friend had left to go buy chicken at a nearby Chinese shop.
It was after his friend left that he was shot.

At the time of his death, Johnson was living with his common-law-wife, Delma Bradley, at their
West Canal address, which is located just behind the alley where he was shot twice.
The two had three children, a son, age 4, and two daughters, ages 1 and 2. He also has another daughter, age 6, from a previous relationship, says his family.

Kenrick Albert Johnson is survived by his mother, Elena Gabourel, two brothers, common-law wife, Delma Bradley and four children.

A post-mortem is scheduled for today.
