Machete man chopped with his own machete

GeneralMachete man chopped with his own machete

PUNTA GORDA, Toledo District, Wed. Aug. 12, 2020–  Derrick Arnold, 38, a construction worker of Punta Gorda, is presently at the Punta Gorda Community Hospital in a serious condition after he was chopped on the left hand, right shoulder, and forehead.

Moses Varro, a laborer of Punta Gorda, has been arrested for chopping him.

Varro told police that at about 2:30 yesterday afternoon, he was walking on Front Street along with Sherese Coleman when Arnold, who was armed with a machete, rode up behind them, got off his bike and attacked him.

Varro said that he managed to struggle with Arnold and took away his machete. He then chopped Arnold multiple times.

Varro then went to the police station and reported the incident.

Police went to the scene on North Front Street, where they saw Arnold wounded and bleeding, and they took him to the hospital.

According to reliable reports, there is an ongoing “beef” between the two men because of a love triangle. Varro’s girlfriend and Arnold have a child together, and it appears that Arnold still has romantic feelings for the mother of his child.

Police have begun an investigation, but no charges have yet been levied against Varro.
