BELIZE CITY, Thru. Oct 7, 2021– Last night, a 21 year old man was killed while walking on Ebony Street, in Belize City. Police have confirmed that Malique Medwood was shot to the head last night and transported to the KHMH. He succumbed to his injuries. Medwood was allegedly fired upon by two men who were on a motorcycle.

Reports are the Medwood was walking in the director of Youth for the Future Drive on the left side of Ebony Street. This is when the motorcycle came up from behind him firing a barrage of bullets which caused Medwood’s fatal injury.

This afternoon police release a crime stoppers flyer asking the public to report any information that can lead to the detention of the persons on the motorcycle who perpetrated this crime. The area where the incident occurred is near the UNO gas station in the Conch Shell Bay community, according to police.

Police are investigating the recent homicide but are yet to release any possible motive.
