MoneyGram’s San Pedro branch robbed

SAN PEDRO, AMBERGRIS CAYE, Belize District, Thurs. Sep. 3, 2020– On Tuesday morning, the San Pedro branch of MoneyGram was held up by a lone gunman, who got away with an undisclosed amount of money.

According to reliable reports, the robber pretended to be a customer when he entered the MoneyGram office. However, shortly after his entry, he pulled out a gun, pointed it at the cashier and demanded money.

Fearing for her life, the cashier handed over money from the cash register, and the gunman then ran out of the office and headed towards the downtown area.

Police went to the scene and began to search the area, but so far the thief has not been found.
