ORANGE WALK TOWN, Thurs. Dec. 5, 2019– The Orange Walk Football Association (OWFA) Youth Tournaments continued with Week 8 games this past Sunday, December 1, at People’s Stadium. Below are the results and standings by category.
U-10 Co-ed: Game 1– Rising Stars FC, 2-0, over Orange Walk Central Stars, with goals from Diego Mencias and Jafet Herrera. Game 2 – Minions FC won, 4-2, over Trinidad FC. Minions goals were by Tamron Baptist, Yaser Hernandez (2) and Kerth Guzman; while Luke Mai and Jayden Hall scored for Trinidad. Game 3 – San Estevan FC won, 1-0, over Yo Creek La Ceiba FC with a goal by Kaydraun Cadle.
U-13 Co-ed Playoffs: Game 1 – Minions FC drew, 0-0, with San Estevan FC. Game 2 – Mi Gente FC drew, 1-1, with Albions FC. Enri Munoz scored for Mi Gente; while Jon Urbina tallied for Albions.
U-15 Male: Game 1 – Orange Walk Cadets FC won by default (3-0) over Trinidad FC. Game 2 – San Estevan FC bombed LA Boys FC, 10-2, with goals from Oscar Leon (9’, 19’ & 44’), Tyrese Augustine (10’), Armando Patt (17’), Brayan Cartagena (28’), Edwin Magana (30’), Menalio Novelo (35’) and Angel Chuc (61’ & 65’); while both LA Boys goals were by Johnny Saes (13’ & 60’).
U-17 Male: Game 1 – Trial Farm Jaguars FC won, 4-0, over Orange Walk United FC with goals from Ivan Chi (17’ & 24’), Elvis Cabral (32’) and Daniel Grijalva (76’). Game 2 – Yo Creek La Ceiba FC shelled San Lazaro FC, 11-0, with goals from Sylvano Osorio (3’), Jose Gonzalez (9’, 55’ & 67’), Reuel Novelo (20’), Allden Castillo (25’, 61’ & 65’), Kevin Gonzalez (29’), Andrei Castillo (35’) and Izael Flores (71’).
