Budd was arrested and charged in connection with a report that a 21-year-old woman made to police, yesterday, Wednesday. The woman, an employee of the Belize Defence Force, had arrived home and before entering her house on Central American Boulevard, noticed that the lock on the door had been tampered with. She then alerted the police, who came shortly after and made a thorough search of the house. Police found Budd hiding under a bed inside the house. Police say that a blue cell phone was found in Budd?s possession, which the woman identified as her property.
