COMPOL confirms that a drug plane landed in southern Belize and will share details on Tuesday, June 28.

In the wee hours of Sunday, June 26, a suspected drug plane landed in the southern part of Belize, in Sunday Wood, Toledo, which is situated about 3.4 kilometers from Conejo village near the Sarstoon Temash National Park, and has been cleared several times by villagers of that neighboring country.
Information is sparse at the moment; however, an initial report is indicating that the suspected narco-jet landed in the country sometime around 2:00 a.m. and two persons from a nearby village are believed to have assisted the narco-traffickers, who are currently on the run and are being sought by police.
The suspected narco-jet had initially been heard and observed circling Bladen village, but due to police presence, the jet diverted and landed on a farm in Sunday Wood.
Commissioner of Police, Chester Williams has confirmed to local media that the narco jet landed in the southern part of Belize.
The COMPOL has indicated that he will be sharing more information with local media tomorrow, Tuesday, June 28.
