The mighty have fallen, as San Pedro Tiger Sharks gave the Benny’s Belize Hurricanes their first defeat of the Belize Elite Basketball League (BEBL) 2024 season at the Civic Center on Saturday, March 16. At the beginning of the season, the Hurricanes took their first match-up and claimed to be unbeatable; however, Tiger Sharks got the edge over them this time, winning the game, 88–73.

Dream Ballers gets first win at home

The Griga Dream Ballers secured their first win at home over the Belmopan Trojans on Saturday, March 16, winning the game, 81–73.

Deshawn Brackett led Dream Ballers to victory with 25 pts and 3 stls, and Delvon Henderson had a double-double of 18 pts and 12 rebs, plus 2 blks. Jevaughn McKenzie of the Trojans netted 20 pts, and his teammate Jayden Lopez scored 17 pts and grabbed 5 rebs.
