WAVE Radio panelist “Stiletto” injured in car chase shooting

GeneralWAVE Radio panelist “Stiletto” injured in car chase shooting
A talk show panelist for the UDP’s WAVE Radio, Clement Palacio, also known as “Stiletto” and “Papa Roots,” lies in Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital in “stable” condition after an exchange of words threatened to become deadly last week Friday night.

The popular seaweed vendor was reportedly driving a gray Mercedes-Benz, accompanied by one Wayne Swasey and two unnamed women. Reports are they stopped for refueling at the Shell One Stop Gas Station on Central American Boulevard.

There, Swasey and a dark male driving a burgundy Toyota Camry got into an argument. Palacio and his companions left shortly afterward, en route to Hattieville.

But on the way, a suspicion they were being followed proved shrewd, as at the corner of the Western Highway and Fabers Road they heard gunshots that shattered the back window of the Mercedes and injured Palacio.

WAVE reported that a bullet had lodged itself between the skull and the skin on the back of Palacio’s head. Doctors were able to operate and remove the projectile.

WAVE also reported that Palacio has said that the shooting incident was not politics-related in any kind of way.

Police continue to investigate.
