The San Ignacio & Santa Elena Basketball Association (SSBA) continued its 17th annual basketball tournament at the Victor Galvez Stadium in San Ignacio Town this past weekend. Below are the scores from the games played this past weekend.
Friday, November 3
Under-13 MALE: Game 1 – Trin’s Deli won, 19-14, over Electrolit. Scorers: Trin’s Deli – Elroy Willis 8 pts, Karim Zayden 6 pts, Ryan Constancia 3 pts; Electrolit – Jaydan Lawrence 6 pts, Marquez Bahadur 4 pts, Steve Mullings 3 pts.
Under-16 MALE: Game 2 – HL’s Furniture won, 38-25, over Hode’s Place. Scorers: HL’s – Roy “Sonny” Valentine 24 pts, Byron Rosas 7 pts; Hode’s – Assad Juan 15 pts, Ydnic Crawford 4 pts.
Under-19 MALE: Game 3 – Mayan Man won, 65-29, over Misfits. Scorers: Mayan – Luis Sosa 22 pts, Jason Orosco 10 pts, Randy Henry 8 pts; Misfits – Israel August 12 pts, Zane Santiago 6 pts, Ydnic “Skully” Crawford 5 pts.
SENIORS: Game 4 – Knights won, 73-48, over Blazing Tigers. Scorers: Knights – Kristian Usher 21 pts, Felix Martinez 14 pts, Faisal Ahmad 13 pts, Therone Rodriguez 10 pts; Blazing – Shemar White 13 pts, Javaughn McKenzie 12 pts.
SENIORS: Game 5 – Belmopan Thunder won, 63-44, over Alphas. Scorers: Belmopan – Owen “Beso” Lorenzo 19 pts, Brandon Flowers 14 pts, Jayden Lopez 13 pts; Alphas – Dane Bradley 21 pts, Kareem Jenkins 12 pts.
