BELIZE CITY, Mon. Aug 5, 2019– Here are the results from Weekend Warriors racing held yesterday, with the “A” going to Mile 25 and return to Old Belize, for 45 miles; and the “B” going to Rockville and return to Old Belize, for 35 miles; and the “C” going to Hattieville roundabout and return to Old Belize, for 27 miles. All races started at Leslie’s Imports, the first at 8:00 a.m., with 5 minute intervals.
Eight of 10 starters completed the “A” race. Finishing order was: 1st Place – Dwayne Wade (Bze Boyz, 1:55:03); 2nd Wayne Moses (Kulture, 1:55:05); 3rd Vallan Symns (Kulture, 1:56:17); 4th Alicia Thompson (Kulture, 1:56:26); 5th Barney Brown (Digicell-4G, 1:56:31); 6th Ruthford Cunningham (unattached, 1:56:49); 7th Warren Coye (Santino’s, 1:58:07); and 8th George Abraham (Bel-Cal, 2:02:10).
Six of 9 starters completed the “B” race. Finishing order: 1st Place – Isaiah Willacey (unattached, 1:40:45); 2nd Gilroy Robinson (FT Williams, st); 3rd Dean Boyce (FT Williams, st); 4th Kenneth Butler (FT Williams, 1:44:32); 5th Andrew Ordonez (unattached); and 6th Marlon Smith (unattached).
And 7 of 8 starters finished the “C” race. Finishing order: 1st Place – Salvador Alvarado (Santino’s, 1:13:35); 2nd Winston Swift (Haulover Punishers, st); 3rd Manuel Esquiliano (Truckers, st); 4th Edwardo Villanueva (Haulover Punishers, st); 5th Elvis Perez (Digicell-4G, st); 6th Sheffield Eck (Haulover Punishers, st); and 7th Sydney Thurton (BFSC).
The next Weekend Warriors event will be the “King/Queen of the Road” this Sunday, August 11.
